San Vigilio Castle Park
A highly visible symbol of power, San Vigilio Castle has for centuries been the residence of the various rulers who have succeeded one another in Bergamo. Situated 496 meters high on the hill that gives it its name, it towers over the Upper City, which is why in the past it served a strategic function in case of enemy attacks.
Colleoni Chapel
It is located in Bergamo, in the upper part of the city. It is one of the large buildings in Piazza Duomo, leaning against and close to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The exterior is very well maintained, but the most beautiful part is definitely the interior with the golden color that gives light to the whole church
Upper Town
The medieval Città Alta, surrounded by 16th-century Venetian walls, is dominated by the Rocca di Bergamo. Enchanting squares host the arcade of the Palazzo della Ragione and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, with its gilded interiors and the intricate marble facade of the Colleoni Chapel. The alleys feature exclusive independent boutiques, delicatessens, century-old cafes, trattorias and wine bars
